The San Diego City Council Members sent a strong message to the California Energy Commission (CEC), SDG&E and CoGentrix. They don’t want a power plant next to Mission Trails Regional Park.
This is a huge victory and the campaign must continue. The CEC could vote to override local decisions and approve the abomination.
Get ready and save the date for the CEC Public Workshop on Wednesday, October 3, at Grossmont College at 2:00 pm. Click here for details and a parking permit.

This CEC meeting 10/3 is one of the more important meetings there will be! The Commissioners must count from the record the speaker slips. Sign a speaker slip in Opposition and why. We must document in the record how the CEC is failing.
Now the fight gets tough, we have to deal with the CEC they are not accountable to the Public like our elected officials are. It is VITAL that everyone attend the Oct 3 CEC Public Workshop.
WOW this is wonderful!!!
It is wonderful. Revel in the victory then get back to work (-: because the CEC can choosed to override the city’s decisions and build the plant anyway. Crazy, huh. We need to SHOW them a big fat NO! Attend the CEC Workshop at Grossmont College on Wed. 10/3/12 (next week). Details coming on a post asap.
Love it! Keep up the good work, and keep us informed of what steps we need to take next.
Amazing news!!! Thank you for all your hard work!!
